Anthony Smyth - Director

Anthony Smyth is an experienced commercial lawyer. He has been a partner and director at Carrick Gill Smyth since 2003. He has acted for corporate and private clients in a wide range of commercial and commercial litigation matters.

Anthony has wide experience in advising clients in the following areas:

Advising a wide range of businesses on their business transactions and legal matters including sales and purchases, partnership and joint venture agreements, employment law, structuring and risk management; property and commercial leasing matters;
Undertaking commercial litigation, particularly matters involving contractual disputes, claims of misleading or deceptive conduct, partnership disputes; taxation disputes, debt enforcement and insolvency matters, deceased estates and employment claims
Advising high-net wealth individuals on asset protection, wills and estate planning and property matters
Taxation and duty advice, tax planning and management of taxation risks
Advice and documentation relating to the ownership, licensing and infringement of copyright, patents, trademarks and other forms of intellectual property;
Advising directors on their duties, legal risks and risk management issues relating to personal liability, insolvency and bankruptcy
Advising on multi-party collaborative research agreements and grant funding agreements

Anthony has a Master of Law degree from the University of Sydney and has taught commercial law and taxation law at the University of New South Wales.
